Strong colours, bold floor design, and unusual materials distinguish this kitchen from more conservative schemes.  Making the best use of space, and maximising the sense of light, in this London kitchen, were priorities.

Space was a particular issue, as a boiler was installed in the corner next to the chimney, and would require full access for servicing.  To overcome this problem we manufactured free standing cabinets on wheels which are then concealed behind the doors in the corner; when servicing the boiler these cabinets are simply wheeled out.

To increase the sense of light from the window, smashed glass worktops under painted in white were installed, adding an almost dreamy ‘cloud’ like feel.  The pale colour of ripple sycamore veneered doors served to further enhance the light.
