CNC manufacture

Outsourcing the manufacture of components that are difficult or time consuming to make by traditional or hand processes can save a huge amount of time and cost, and increase quality at the same time.  Batch sizes can be from a one off, to thousands, and precision generally varies between .25 to .5 mm depending on the process and material.

We have full CNC component manufacture capabilities in house using our Masterwood Winner CNC machining centre.  The machine is four axis meaning it has vertical and horizontal routers, and is capable of cutting components up to a maximum size of 2690 mm x 1330 mm x 65 mm.  Processes it can perform include cutting through the full depth of material to any shape, machining grooves and rebates along any path, applying mouldings, including undercut mouldings, and drilling vertical and horizontal holes of any size.  Materials that can be machined include all sheet materials such as mdf, chipboard, ply, all solid timbers, and plastics.

We have machined a huge range of components, (the photos show some of the more unusual projects) everything from jigs for furniture making, to guitar scratch plates, to floors for military vehicles.  Generally common services we provide include:  Carcass manufacture for kitchens and bedrooms to include curved carcases, full kits of parts for furniture, particularly in the case of curved pieces which are more difficult to make by traditional processes, Jig making for laminating curved components, and templates for shaped components, and beyond this component manufacture of any kind.  When a project has been completed, we keep all files such that if you require repeat components there will be no programming charges.  For regular customers we keep standard programmes specific to them that can then be automatically stretched to any size thus making their repeat products of different sizes very efficiently.

We are happy to advise and quote on any projects without obligation with a view to establishing the best way to reduce the cost of manufacture for clients.
