In addition to your specific identity number (that guarantees exclusivity on every limited edition piece sold) you also have a range of options which will allow you to personalise your piece so that it will become completely unique to you, if you desire. We welcome any requests you may have; we will advise on their feasibility and the cost implications, which may decrease or increase the cost of manufacture accordingly. Below is some guidance on more common bespoke features, but whatever it is that you wish, please feel free to ask.
Materials
Many of the materials used in a piece of furniture can be specified by you. In the case of wood, you have the option to specify any species available. This means all the solid timber and veneer used in a piece can be of your choice. The only constraint here is that the species must be suitable for the application. For example some veneers may be too brittle to use in curved applications. Other materials such as metalwork can be made in various options, or plated in silver or gold if required. In the case of upholstered furniture any fabric can be specified or supplied by yourself. In all cases, of course, we must be satisfied that materials are fit for purpose and we will advise you accordingly.
Size
Depending on the design of the piece, you have various options to specify some or all of the dimensions you require. As a guide, pieces that are square in their basic shape can probably be made to any dimensions. Pieces that are curved are more limited, but usually the height can be adjusted without redesigning the whole piece. In the case of chests of drawers, changing the height can involve adding or omitting drawers. If changes in the size or shape of curves themselves are required then this would have to be priced up accordingly.
Internals
The internals of pieces can have various bespoke features included; wardrobes can have internals such as hanging rails and shelves adjusted, and drawers in chests can have trays set in or dividers fitted.
Colour
Pieces that are painted can be specified in any colour whatsoever. Pieces that are in solid timber or veneer can also be specified as painted if so desired. In most cases this will significantly reduce the price of the piece.
Fittings
Many of the fittings we use are bespoke, designed and made exclusively for our furniture. However there is the possibility of specifying new designs.
